Regular sweeping or vacuuming removes loose dirt and debris that can scratch tile surfaces. For daily cleaning, a damp mop with warm water is usually sufficient. Avoid using vinegar or acidic cleaners on natural stone, as they can etch and damage the surface.

Clean grout lines regularly using a pH-neutral cleaner and a soft brush. Grout sealers should be reapplied annually to prevent staining and moisture penetration. If grout becomes severely discolored, professional cleaning or re-grouting may be necessary.

Wipe up spills promptly, especially on natural stone. Even sealed stone can stain if liquids are left to sit. Place mats at entryways to catch dirt and moisture, and use felt pads under furniture legs to prevent scratching.

Natural stone requires periodic resealing, typically every one to two years depending on the stone type and level of use. Marble, in particular, is more porous and may need more frequent attention. Our team can advise on the right maintenance schedule for your specific stone.
