Professional tile installation begins with thorough subfloor preparation. The substrate must be clean, level, and structurally sound. For wood subfloors, cement backer board is typically installed to provide a stable, moisture-resistant base.

Layout is carefully planned before any tile is set. Our installers determine the best starting point and tile orientation to minimize cuts and ensure a balanced, symmetrical appearance. Complex patterns and designs are mapped out in advance.

Thin-set mortar is applied to the substrate using a notched trowel. The trowel size and notch pattern are selected based on the tile size to ensure proper coverage and adhesion. Tiles are set into the mortar and leveled using spacers and leveling systems.

After the mortar cures (typically 24 hours), grout is applied between tiles using a rubber float. Excess grout is carefully cleaned from tile surfaces before it hardens. The grout is then allowed to cure before sealing.

For natural stone installations, sealing is essential both before and after grouting to prevent staining. Our team applies appropriate sealers based on the stone type and uses techniques specific to each material for the best results.
